I feel like our writing finds us when it's supposed to in motherhood, I'm also enjoying more free time so I have the space to turn in a bit more you know. But thank you for saying that and reading and for that lovely line. Do you journal a lot more now?
I am finding more time and feeling more creative now that I'm on the other side. Wishing you all the best as you cross your threshold. There are so many thresholds and horizons in life, but motherhood is a stark one. Knowing you're balancing on a familiar yet unpredictable precipice — you've been here before but you can't predict it — is so thrilling. You know more now, but a whole other person is about to come into the picture and uproot your knowledge, in the most transformative way.
This really found me at the perfect moment! I’m a little before late pregnancy (34 weeks), but I keep repeating to myself how two things can be true. I can feel so excited and be questioning everything; I can be grateful for what movement I am still able to do and can’t believe it’s so hot. Your writing summed it up well for me!! I’ll be thinking of you these next few weeks!
This was so moving. I'm now 3 months pp with my second and I didn't write nearly as eloquently in my third trimester. In fact, it seems I barely wrote at all. Looking back in my diary, I have one note that still stands out: "As a society, we are obsessed with sex but ambivalent about birth. And yet only one of those is a miracle."

Thanks Dylan!! I'll be thinking of you too. It's amazing what we can hold as mothers. An entire universe inside!
